I would like to extend a warm welcome to all students attending the College of North West London this session. Some of you will be new students, coming here for the first time, or you may be returning to continue your studies. To all I would like to express my good wishes for your success and happiness whilst you are with us. we are proud of the services we offer to our students - but we are always seeking to improve what we do and welcome any suggestions you may have.

'CNWL Online' is a website which means that you can access it both inside and outside of the College. The web address for this site is www.cnwl.ac.uk/vle. This will allow you to have easy access to information about your course and your Individual Learning Plan (ILP). By becoming familiar with this site and using it regularly, you will be able to learn and make progress.

1. Choosing your course

The College of North West London promises to:

  • Provide you with free impartial information, advice and guidance about our courses and courses at other institutions.
  • Acknowledge your course application within five working days of receiving it.
  • Invite you to an Admissions Day which will include an assessment and interview.
  • Provide you with information on College events that are relevant to the course you have applied for.

2. On your course

The College of North West London promises to:

  • Start your classes on time and ensure that they are well prepared.
  • Mark and return within 10 working days all work that you submit on time.
  • Discuss your progress with you at regular interviews and set targets to help you successfully complete your course.
  • Provide you with a tutorial programme if you are on a full-time course.
  • Provide you with access to additional support from specialist staff if you have a disability.
  • Provide you with advice and support in progressing to the next level of programme within the College.
  • Listen to your views and act upon them if feasible
  • Provide you with impartial careers advice and help you prepare for your future including entering employment and progressing to higher education.
  • Notify all applicants to the College hardship funds within 20 working days, whether or not financial assistance can be provided.
  • Provide you with information and administer the Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) and Adult Learning Grant (ALG).
  • Provide you with opportunities to accessan Enrichment Programme that covers a range of activities.

3. At the end of your course

The College of North West London promises to:

  • Provide you with a reference for your future career.
  • Provide you with support to help you progress in either your studies or career
